Whanaungatanga Week Reflection

WALT: Reflect on our whanaungatanga experience in week 4.
Last week we had a exciting week because it was all about building positive relationships. Building positive relationships means Whanaungatanga this a school value that is expected to be used consistently. One thing I found helpful was the attitude program, because they gave me a lot of helpful tips for my friendships and ways to find new friends and make my friendship stronger. One thing I found challenging was the tug of war game because we did not have that much players and it was challenging holding onto the rope.
We also went to the YMCA Lagoon pools in Panmure. It was exciting because we worked as a team in the pool and showed Manaakitanga. We also did great activities in our groups, this task was challenging because we had to work in a group to get to the other side by locking hands. Most of us couldn't swim so it was challenging. But we didn't give up and we still tried and it was amazing seeing our team constantly trying and not giving up.

After the pools we had a sleepover at school. The sleepover was really good to get to know everyone when outside of the classroom. It was good to see everyone contribute and participate and give it 100% in everything. I think something I can improve on is listening to instructions fast and doing my work up to the standard expected. One thing I learnt about myself is that I am more confident and that I am passionate.
